While mediation has become increasingly central to dispute resolution, the role of lawyers in client counselling, strategic negotiation, and settlement design is rarely assessed in structured academic formats.
VMAC bridges this gap. Through carefully designed commercial problem scenarios and experienced dispute resolution professionals, participants simulate the realities of contemporary mediation practice.
The Virtual Mediation Advocacy Competition is a structured, professional platform dedicated exclusively to evaluating mediation advocacy as a core legal skill.
VMAC assesses participants across the full spectrum of mediation practice: from client counselling through to final settlement design, in a multi-stage simulation format that mirrors real-world commercial dispute resolution.
The VMAC Scholarship ensures deserving participants are not restricted from participation. The Organising Committee evaluates on quality, initiative, and genuine passion for dispute resolution.
A mandatory training phase followed by 3 online preliminary rounds and 3 online elimination rounds.

Every registered team completes four structured training programmes before entering competition rounds. These include one self-paced course and three live sessions.
